Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: August 14, 2026

Welcome to TrueSource Generators. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the TrueSource Generators website, including the purchase of generators, transfer switches, related products, and the use of our installation, maintenance, service, consultation, and other related services.

By accessing this website, submitting an inquiry, requesting a quote, purchasing a product, or engaging TrueSource Generators for services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, please do not use this website or purchase products or services through it.

1. About TrueSource Generators

TrueSource Generators provides backup power solutions for residential and commercial customers, including generator sales, installation, transfer switches, maintenance, service, and related support.

TrueSource Generators is an authorized Generac® dealer and offers Generac® generator products and related equipment. Product warranties may be provided by the applicable manufacturer and are subject to the manufacturer’s separate warranty terms and conditions.

These Terms & Conditions apply to your relationship with TrueSource Generators and do not replace or modify any manufacturer’s warranty.

2. Use of Our Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

You must not:

  • Use the website for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, its servers, systems, or databases.
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or functionality of the website.
  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit website content without authorization.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
  • Use automated systems, bots, scraping tools, or similar technologies to improperly access or collect website information.
  • Upload or transmit malicious software, viruses, or other harmful material.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the website if we reasonably believe that these Terms & Conditions have been violated.

3. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, images, pricing, availability, and other information displayed on the website are accurate and current.

However, product specifications, colours, dimensions, features, availability, packaging, and other details may change from time to time, particularly where products are supplied by third-party manufacturers.

Images shown on the website may be for illustration purposes and may not always represent the exact configuration, model, colour, or accessories included with a particular product.

We reserve the right to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to update product information at any time without prior notice.

4. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability.

Adding a product to your cart or submitting an order does not necessarily guarantee that the product will be available for shipment or installation.

If a product becomes unavailable after you place an order, we may contact you to discuss available alternatives, revised delivery timing, or cancellation and refund options.

5. Pricing and Taxes

All prices displayed on the website are in Canadian dollars (CAD), unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change without notice.

Applicable taxes, delivery charges, installation charges, permits, site-specific costs, fuel-related requirements, electrical or gas work, and other applicable charges may be additional unless specifically included in your quotation or purchase agreement.

Although we make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate pricing, typographical, technical, or pricing errors may occasionally occur. We reserve the right to correct such errors.

6. Orders and Order Acceptance

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.

An order is not considered fully accepted until TrueSource Generators has confirmed the order.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit an order for reasons including:

  • Product availability.
  • Pricing or listing errors.
  • Suspected fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.
  • Incorrect customer or shipping information.
  • Manufacturer or supplier availability.
  • Shipping or service-area limitations.
  • Other circumstances that make fulfillment impractical or impossible.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, any applicable refund will be processed using the original payment method, subject to applicable law and the terms of our Refund & Returns Policy.

7. Payment

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and valid payment information.

Payment must be completed according to the payment terms provided at the time of purchase, quotation, or service agreement.

For installation or larger projects, TrueSource Generators may require deposits, progress payments, or payment in full before equipment is ordered, delivered, installed, or commissioned. Any project-specific payment terms provided in a written quotation or agreement will apply.

Failure to make required payments may result in delays, suspension of services, cancellation, or additional charges where permitted by law.

8. Quotes and Estimates

Quotes and estimates may be based on information available to us at the time the quotation is prepared.

A final installation cost may depend on site-specific conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Electrical requirements.
  • Gas connection requirements.
  • Distance between equipment and the electrical or gas service.
  • Existing electrical infrastructure.
  • Required transfer switch configuration.
  • Permit requirements.
  • Ground conditions.
  • Equipment location.
  • Accessibility.
  • Required trenching, excavation, concrete work, or restoration.
  • Municipal, utility, or inspection requirements.
  • Changes requested by the customer.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, an estimate is not a guarantee of the final project cost.

Any material changes to the scope of work may require an updated quotation or additional customer approval.

9. Generator Installation

Generator installation must be performed in accordance with applicable manufacturer requirements, electrical and gas regulations, building codes, safety requirements, and applicable municipal or utility requirements.

Installation requirements may vary depending on the property and location.

The customer is responsible for providing TrueSource Generators with accurate information regarding the property, existing electrical and gas systems, and any known site restrictions.

Where required, installation may involve coordination with electricians, gas contractors, utility providers, municipalities, inspectors, or other third parties.

TrueSource Generators is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including delays involving permits, inspections, utility companies, manufacturers, suppliers, weather, or third-party contractors.

10. Site Access and Customer Responsibilities

Customers must provide reasonable and safe access to the property and the area where equipment is to be delivered, installed, serviced, or inspected.

The customer is responsible for informing TrueSource Generators of known hazards, property restrictions, underground utilities, access limitations, condominium or property-management requirements, and other conditions that may affect the work.

The customer may be responsible for costs resulting from inaccurate information, concealed conditions, restricted access, or site conditions that were not reasonably identifiable before work began.

11. Delivery and Shipping

Estimated delivery dates are provided for convenience and are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed to in writing.

Delivery may be affected by manufacturer availability, supplier delays, transportation issues, weather, customs, labour disruptions, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers should inspect products upon delivery and promptly report visible damage or discrepancies.

For products that arrive damaged, customers should retain the original packaging and contact TrueSource Generators as soon as possible.

12. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our separate Refund and Returns Policy.

Generally, return requests must be made within 30 days of receiving an order and may be accepted where:

  • The product was damaged upon arrival; or
  • The product received was materially different from the product described on our website.

Returned products must be accompanied by their original packaging.

Once a returned product has been received and its condition has been confirmed, an approved refund may take up to 30 days from the date the returned product is received to appear in the customer’s account.

Return shipping costs may be the customer’s responsibility unless the return results from an error by TrueSource Generators.

For complete details, please review our Refund and Returns Policy before initiating a return.

13. Installed Equipment and Custom Orders

Certain generator systems, transfer switches, installation services, and other equipment may be ordered, configured, or installed specifically for a customer’s property.

Products that have been installed, commissioned, modified, customized, or ordered specifically for a particular installation may be subject to additional return or cancellation restrictions, except where otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed to in writing.

Customers should confirm equipment selection, generator sizing, installation requirements, and project details before approving an installation or purchase.

14. Generator Sizing and Recommendations

Any generator sizing information, calculators, recommendations, or consultations provided through the website or by our representatives are intended to assist customers in selecting an appropriate backup power solution.

Final generator sizing depends on the property’s actual electrical load, desired circuits, equipment, starting loads, electrical configuration, fuel supply, and other site-specific factors.

Customers should not rely solely on an online calculator or general website information when making a final installation decision.

A site assessment and professional evaluation may be required before installation.

15. Manufacturer Warranties

Certain products sold by TrueSource Generators may be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.

Manufacturer warranties are subject to the applicable manufacturer’s terms, conditions, exclusions, registration requirements, maintenance requirements, and warranty periods.

For example, Generac generator warranty coverage may require successful startup and/or online activation, product registration, proof of purchase, required maintenance, and compliance with applicable warranty conditions.

TrueSource Generators does not extend or alter a manufacturer’s warranty unless expressly agreed to in writing.

Customers should review the applicable manufacturer’s warranty documentation for complete warranty information.

16. Maintenance and Proper Use

Customers are responsible for operating and maintaining generator equipment according to the applicable manufacturer’s instructions.

Failure to perform required maintenance or improper use may affect equipment performance and may affect applicable warranty coverage.

Customers should use only appropriate fuel, parts, accessories, and equipment as specified by the manufacturer.

TrueSource Generators is not responsible for damage resulting from misuse, unauthorized modifications, improper maintenance, neglect, improper installation by others, non-approved parts, or operation outside manufacturer specifications.

17. Service and Emergency Response

TrueSource Generators may provide service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency support.

Although we strive to respond promptly, emergency or 24/7 service availability does not guarantee a specific response time, repair time, parts availability, or restoration time.

Response times may vary depending on location, weather, technician availability, parts availability, road conditions, outage conditions, demand, and the nature of the issue.

18. Third-Party Products and Services

Some products, manufacturers, utilities, contractors, payment processors, shipping providers, or other services associated with a project may be provided or controlled by third parties.

TrueSource Generators is not responsible for the acts, omissions, delays, policies, or performance of independent third parties beyond our reasonable control.

Manufacturer products remain subject to the applicable manufacturer’s terms and warranty policies.

19. Intellectual Property

All content appearing on the TrueSource Generators website, including text, graphics, logos, images, photographs, icons, videos, designs, layouts, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to TrueSource Generators or its respective content providers unless otherwise stated.

TrueSource Generators will not be responsible for failure or delay in performing its obligations where the failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
